Infused with sadistic cruelty and holy purpose, these brutal zealots will soon be yours to command thanks to a new battletome, new units and of course, Morathi herself! In the first of a multipart preview series, we’re looking into just who these savage warriors are – and how their unique abilities are represented on the tabletop.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders6yw.jpg]The Daughters of Khaine are an army of aelven zealots combining the Khainite worship of their kin from the world that was with strange new powers drawn from the Realm of Shadow. Led by Morathi, they may serve Order, but their methods are extreme, and they think little of butchering the innocent populations of the Mortal Realms as they persecute the endless crusade for the shards of their shattered god.
The Daughters of Khaine came into being following the capture of Slaanesh. Morathi, having escaped the god’s clutches through magical means, helped weave the enchantment that caught Slaanesh, with Malerion, Teclis and Tyrion – ancient aelven warriors reborn as Gods of this new age – also providing aid. Together, they were able to free the aelven souls within Slaanesh, and each was rewarded with a portion to shape as they wished. Combining powerful magic with the sacrifice of her own blood, Morathi forged a new aelven race, and the Melusai and the Khinerai are the first among them.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders3il.jpg]While the Daughters of Khaine crave bloodshed and murder, they serve alongside the forces of Order – albeit tenuously. As builders of cities and civilisations, the Daughters of Khaine have little truck with the rampaging forces of Destruction, while the cold chill of Death holds little appeal to a race brought back from the brink of extinction. As for Chaos, few hate it more than the Khainites, prosecuting their crusades with particular violence against the servants of Slaanesh.
Morathi’s armies are viewed askance by the other inhabitants of Order. Rumours persist of strange, shadowy mutants among their number, and indeed, many find themselves unfortunately slain in the Khainite’s grotesque rituals – whether they come from the Chaos Wastes or are snatched from the streets of the free cities…. As they stand, the Daughters of Khaine are more tolerated than accepted, existing in a shadowy twilight, too useful to cast out.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders5gw.jpg]Establishing temples across the Mortal Realms, the Daughters of Khaine scour the Mortal Realms for blood sacrifice – essential for creating more of their number – and the shards of their god, scattered across the Realms. Morathi claims to speak for Khaine, wielding his unbreakable iron heart, but none know that Morathi’s power is a lie, and Khaine is dead; the prayers that her daughters scream and the ritual offerings they make only serve to enhance her own power, not Khaine’s. Indeed, as long as Morathi bears the last vestiges of his power, there is little hope for his Revival.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders4rz.jpg]The Daughters of Khaine were written by studio legend and long-time writer and designer Jeremy Vetock. We managed to grab him to find out more about how he transformed this shadowy cult into a fully formed army:
[Externes Medium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwzsAAdK10s&feature=youtu.be][IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders2jc.jpg]On the battlefield, the Daughters of Khaine are part iron-disciplined warrior order and part fanatical cult. As battle progresses, they whip themselves into a frenzy, ignoring wounds and becoming steadily deadlier. This is represented by two new allegiance abilities. The first of these is Fanatical Faith:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-FanaticalFaith7bc.jpg]This simple but effective allegiance ability helps your lightly armoured troops survive longer, as well as providing some very welcome insurance against mortal wounds. Where the Daughters of Khaine really come into their own, however, is through the Blood Rites battle trait.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-BloodRites8eh.jpg]The longer the Daughters of Khaine fight, the deadlier they become, as each benefit is cumulative. Get to round 5 or higher, and your army will be re-rolling 1s to run, charge, hit, wound AND save – and they’ll ignore battleshock to boot! Games against the Daughters of Khaine are going to be particularly thematic, as while you may be able to whittle their forces down, those left are only going to get stronger – and angrier.
That’s terrifying enough on a Witch Aelf, but on a combatant like Morathi, it’s deadly indeed. We’ll be taking a look at the Shadow Queen in detail tomorrow, so make sure to come back then.

Neue Infos und Teile der Regeln zu Morathi:
Daughters of Khaine: Part 2 – Morathi, Shadow Queen
A shadow is falling on the Mortal Realms – the Daughters of Khaine have come. Infused with sadistic cruelty and holy purpose, these brutal zealots will soon be yours to command as you’ve never seen them before, thanks to a new battletome, new units and, of course, Morathi herself! In the second of a multipart preview, we’re looking at this legendary master of shadows – in BOTH of her forms…[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders1w.jpg]Morathi is one of the handful of survivors from the world-that-was, an inveterate schemer and betrayer who has served countless masters and hatched countless schemes. Morathi has been high priestess for the aelven gods of old, served Slaanesh, conspired to put Malerion on the throne (back when he was still Malekith) and only survived the transition to the Mortal Realms through sheer cunning. Powerful enough to claim a place amid Sigmar’s Pantheon, Morathi would abandon her former allies following failed attempts to manipulate them and even and even bitterly parted with Malerion, who claimed the Shadowlands of Ulgu and the capital of Druchiroth for himself.
Now, Morathi has reformed her uneasy alliance with Sigmar and the Pantheon of Order, but in truth, seeks only power and glory for herself. She may have the same empire-building impulses as the rest of Order, but her ultimate aim is revenge upon those who have spurned, scorned or tormented her – and a dark apotheosis, filled by the blood sacrifices made in Khaine’s name…
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb19-Subheaders2r.jpg]Rather than choosing which form of Morathi you use, you’ll start every game with her in her High Oracle of Khaine form. In this shape, she makes for an invaluable commander and spellcaster, gaining bonuses to cast and unbind. While she’s a little fragile, with a mere 6 wounds, her Enchanting Beauty and Iron Heart of Khaine abilities make her impossible to kill in a single turn and difficult to pick off with ranged attacks:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb20-BeautyIronHeart4ur.jpg]Where Morathi, High Oracle of Khaine really shines is in her command ability, Worship Through Bloodshed:
Keep Morathi in her High Oracle of Khaine form long enough for your heavy hitters to reach the enemy lines, and you’ll be able to obliterate your foes. Watch out for your wounds, however – while you can transform Morathi deliberately, she has a chance of losing control when damaged. Luckily, this is likely to be far worse for your foe than it is for you:
Morathi’s true form is that of a winged serpent, twisted by shadowy magics and the depredations of Slaanesh. In this shape, she is possessed with furious, blinding rage, capable of driving her spear through solid stone or crushing foes to death with her tail.
In game, Morathi’s Shadow Queen form is nothing short of a close combat monster, boasting 12 Wounds and some potent melee attacks.[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb20-MorathiStats7vg.jpg]The Gaze of Morathi is a particularly potent ability, slaying smaller enemies instantly and providing particularly useful for picking off Standard Bearers, Hornblowers and similar models.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb20-GazeMorathi6wh.jpg]While you’ll lose out on your command ability and enhanced powers of sorcery, you may want to consider transforming Morathi as soon as possible to take full advantage of the Iron Heart of Khaine, which she retains. With this in hand, it’ll take a minimum of four turns to kill her off without some special abilities, like Nagash’s Hand of Dust, making her quite possibly the most durable unit in Warhammer Age of Sigmar!
You’ll be able to pre-order Morathi for your own Daughters of Khaine army this weekend – in the meantime, check back tomorrow on Warhammer Community for a closer look at the Melusai, chosen guard and hidden spies of the Shadow Queen…Kahless

Dritter Teil der Daughters of Khaine Vorstellung:
Daughters of Khaine Preview: Part 3 – The Melusai
A shadow is falling on the Mortal Realms – the Daughters of Khaine have come. Infused with sadistic cruelty and holy purpose, these brutal zealots will soon be yours to command thanks to a new battletome, new units and of course, Morathi herself! In our latest preview, we’re looking at the shadow of the Daughters of Khaine – the serpentine Melusai. The Daughters of Khaine were formed by Morathi from the aelven soul essence drawn out of Slaanesh when each of the Dark God’s captors took a portion to shape to their will. While, in the Age of Sigmar, many aelves are born by natural means, some of those first aelves to be formed by their gods still walk the Mortal Realms.
The Melusai are among the first such aelf-souls to be reborn – not quite reincarnations of those consumed by Slaanesh, but new beings imbued with centuries of hatred and an unquenchable lust for revenge against the servants of Slaanesh. Melusai are twisted in spirit and body, hence their strange mutations, but have powerful magical abilities, such as the Blood Sisters’ ability to transform their foes into statues of living crystal or the Blood Stalkers’ uncanny ability to strike the hearts of their foes with their arrows.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb21-Subheaders2e.jpg]Blood Sisters are an elite, fast-moving unit, possessing both a strong normal attack profile and the ability to dole out mortal wounds with ease. Each model in a unit of Blood Sisters can make a Crystal Touch attack as well as striking with its heartshard glaive – if the former hits, it’ll deal a mortal wound to the foe. You’ll want to use these warriors to deal with your enemy’s heavily armoured units while your Sisters of Slaughter deal with the rest of their infantry.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb21-CrystalTouch3r.jpg][IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb21-Subheaders1u.jpg]The Blood Stalkers, on the other hand, provide an invaluable source of ranged support to the Daughters of Khaine – after all, charging the enemy head-on is one thing, but previously, the army would struggle against foes that protected their more fragile support units, like Wizards and War Machine crews, safely behind their lines. Few are safe from the Blood Stalkers, each bearing a deadly heartseeker bow. While this makes for a powerful weapon in its own right, the Heartseekers ability is where it really shines, providing you with a source of mortal wounds at range.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb21-Heartseekers4t.jpg]Between these two units, you’ll be able to diversify your Daughters of Khaine army lists and master new strategies – pick the right general and you’ll even get to use Blood Sisters as Battleline in your matched play army. They’re far from the only new servants of the Shadow Queen, however…
Come back tomorrow when we’ll be taking a closer look at the Khinerai – winged harpies with a thirst for blood and a knack for cruelty.

Nach der ersten Woche der Kampagne führt überraschend das Schädelsymbol, also die Untoten.
GW schreibt dazu:
With week 1’s results now tallied, we can confirm that, rather than heeding the Malign Portents or taking advantage of them, you voted to destroy the naysayers. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this will be good news for Nagash and his legions. Turns out that getting rid of those who are spreading word of the portents isn’t going to make the momentous ripples emanating from Shyish go away…
As such, the servants of Death have become greatly empowered by your choice, and this week in the campaign, all who lack the Death keyword, or find themselves near a Knight of Shrouds, are now subject to a significant Bravery penalty. That’s not all, however – the consequences of the Dread Solstice will shape how your Harbingers play forever.
This week in the campaign, your actions have attracted Lunaghast to the Mortal Realms, a colossal moon formed of Dark Matter from the Aetheric Void in which the eight realms hang. Thirsty for secrets and hidden truths, the moon has been lured to your kingdoms by the slaughter of your prophets and seers. Across the lands, the peoples of the Realms are attempting to appease it by screaming their darkest secrets and most closely guarded knowledge from the highest peaks. Nothing remains unsaid, and you find yourself faced with a decision – do you avenge newly revealed grievances, slay any who know YOUR secrets, or try to learn them all?
Hier noch der Link zum aktuellen Stand der 2. Woche (aktuell, während ich das schreibe, führt das Symbol "Drake").

Und der vierte Teil der Daughters of Khaine Vorstellung:
Daughters of Khaine Preview: Part 4 – The Khinerai
A shadow is falling across the Mortal Realms – the Daughters of Khaine have come. Infused with sadistic cruelty and holy purpose, these brutal zealots will soon be yours to command thanks to a new battletome, new units and of course, Morathi herself! In this part of our preview, we’re checking out the savage Khinerai:
As a result of the taint of Slaanesh, many aelven souls are permanently marred or twisted and, in physical form, mirror the vile Daemons of the Great Enemy. Yesterday, we took a closer look at the Melusai – the elite guard of the Daughters of Khaine, but they are far from the only mutants to serve the cult of Khaine. The Khinerai are winged aelves, descending from the skies to enact the wrath of the Shadow Queen, wherever her enemies hide…
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb22-Subheaders2k.jpg]Heartrenders are the second ranged unit to be added to the Daughters of Khaine, but while the Blood Sisters are patient, long distance combatants, the Khinerai Heartrenders excel at hit-and-run attacks. Firstly, thanks to their wings, the Khinerai aren’t just fast, but versatile – you’ll be able to set your unit up in reserve before bringing it onto the battlefield wherever you please in your movement phase.
This works superbly with Death From Above, which makes the barbed javelins wielded by the Khinerai particularly potent at piercing armour on the turn they’re set up:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb22-DeathFromAbove4f.jpg]Best of all, you’ll be able to dash away from the foe after firing with Fire and Flight, making enemy repercussion very difficult indeed:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb22-FireandFlight5t.jpg][IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb22-Subheaders1y.jpg]If you’re looking to face the foe more directly, Khinerai Lifetakers fill a similar role to their sisters, except in melee. Like the Khinerai Heartrenders, these elite ambushers can set up in reserve before descending to the battlefield, but they’ll receive a hefty bonus every turn they charge rather than just when they’re set up:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb22-DeathWind6e.jpg]With these in your arsenal, you’ll be able to grab objectives, slay distant foes or harry your enemy flanks with impunity. They’re not the only new tactical tools available to the Daughters of Khaine, however – come back tomorrow, when we’ll be taking a closer look at the new shadow magics available to these death-crazed warriors.

Noch eine kleine Ergänzung:
Auf Lady Atias Blog wurde bestätigt, dass es zwei Boxen mit je zwei Arten sie zusammenzubauen = 4 neue Einheiten sein werden.
2 new models unit where presented both having 2 assembly options.
The Melusai built as Blood Sisters or Blood Stalkers
The Khinerai built as Heartrenders or Lifetakers.

Daughters of Khaine Preview: Part 5 – Magic and Prayers
A shadow is falling on the Mortal Realms – the Daughters of Khaine have come. Infused with sadistic cruelty and holy purpose, these brutal zealots will soon be yours to command, thanks to a new battletome, new units and of course, Morathi herself! In our latest preview, we look at the new magical spells and prayers from the battletome:The Mortal Realms are rich with magical power, but few possess the strength of will to harness it. The Daughters of Khaine are children of two ancient traditions – the bloody cults and (seemingly) god-given power of Khaine and the dark magics of Ulgu, the Realm of Shadows. In the new battletome, you’ll be able to harness both to their full effect with two new tables for your Priests and Wizards to draw from. Combined, you’ll have a dizzying range of tactical options available, allowing you to harness the power of your units and unleash all manner of devious tricks upon your foes.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-Subheaders2h.jpg]Firstly, the Lore of Shadows. We’ve taken a closer look at the unstable arts of Chaos and the wild magics of Destruction in previous battletomes, and while shadow magic is a little more subtle than these, it’s no less powerful, allowing the canny player to deceive their foes and enhance the power of their own units – or even unleash the dreaded Pit of Shades…
Mindrazor allows you to turn your foe’s low Bravery against them and should allow you to tear through less elite infantry with ease. The additional point of Rend, meanwhile, is always welcome and helps you mitigate the effectiveness of your enemies’ saves.[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-Mindrazor7e.jpg]Meanwhile, against larger foes, The Withering can help you maximise the damage you stack up, even with less powerful attacks.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-Withering4v.jpg]Finally, the Pit of Shades is back! Against the right foe, this spell is unbelievably deadly and is a great way to punish durable but slower-moving models, like Grave Guard or Ironbreakers.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-PitOfShades6s.jpg]Of course, you may be wondering just who will be casting these spells – after all, Hag Queens are talented, but lack magical aptitude, and while Morathi’s mastery of shadow magic is certain, what if you want to put more casters in your army?
The Bloodwrack Medusa is the answer. Previously, these creatures were thought to be mere monsters – the truth is far more complex. Bloodwrack Medusae are high-ranking members of the Daughters of Khaine who once doubted the will of Morathi – to secure their loyalty, Morathi has infected them with her own vital essence, causing them to assume a similar form to her and granting them mastery of shadow magic – as well as binding them to the Shadow Queen’s will utterly. You’ll find they make for a useful alternative command option for your army.
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-Subheaders1e.jpg]
There’s more – for those who prefer blood to shadows, you’ll have six more powers to draw from in the form of a Prayers table packed with Khainite blessings for your army. Our favourite by far is the Martyr’s Sacrifice, an enchantment that can make killing a unit of Witch Aelves a very dangerous prospect indeed.[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-Sacrifice5d.jpg]Martyr’s Sacrifice will be invaluable when dealing with the most dangerous enemy combatants by turning their offensive prowess against them. If you’d rather keep your units alive, you’ll want to use Blessing of Khaine, an ability that makes your Fanatical Faith save much more reliable:
[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/AoSKhaine-Feb23-BlessingKhaine3j.jpg]Between Bloodwrack Medusae, Hag Queens, Slaughter Queens and Morathi herself, your Daughters of Khaine heroes won’t just be terrors in close combat but invaluable support units with these new spells and prayers on hand! You’ll be able to pick them up for yourself by pre-ordering the new battletome this weekend – meanwhile, make sure to check back on Monday for even more information from the new battletome.

Und ein erstes Review des neuen Daughters of Khaine Buchs gibt es von Lady Atia auch schon:
Review: Daughters of Khaine - The Fluff (Morathi, Aelfs and more!)
Howdy Guys and Girls
Big fluff summary of the new Battletome - including answers about the Aelfs, their gods and even a hint about something upcoming …. enjoy!
The Age of Myth
Morathi awoke early during the Age of Myth, after Slaanesh literally puked her out.
In The World That Was, she used blood magic and sacrifices to Khaine to keep her youth and strength, but this wouldn’t work anymore so she used the shadow magics of Ulgu instead
Sick of being alone, she used her powers to summon mist elementals and shadow daemons to have companions, and travelled all 13 regions of Ulgu with them.
She hates herself because her new true form reminds her of Chaos and Slaanesh. With the help of her shadow daemon lovers, she could regain her old form but anger or passion would transform her back to her true snake-y self.
Later she met Malerion, and got quite jealous. Her son was now an immortal god, a master of shadow magic even mightier than her. Still they worked together against Chaos, and especially Slaanesh. They joined Sigmar’s pantheon, and brought civilization and the teachings of magic to the Mortal Realms.
Mother and Son used their sorcerous powers to summon a great citadel - the later Druchiroth, seat of Ulgu’s largest kingdom.
While part of the Grand Alliance, neither Morathi nor Malerion were fully trusted. Still, Tyrion and Teclis, Rulers of Light found common cause with Malerion, and rumours about Morathi and Slaanesh started to emerge …
She refused to talk about her past or how she escaped her bondage. She tried to seduce Nagash and the Great Necromancer struck her down - revealing her true medusa-like form and forcing her to flee in shame.
Malerion granted his mother a small piece of land in Ulgu - there she build a temple for Khaine, Hagg Nar.
Later, Malerion arrived there and claimed that the Aelfen gods had finally found what they had searched for a long time - Slaanesh! The Trapping of Slaanesh
Following the destruction of The World That Was, Slaanesh was missing. The youngest Chaos God had hidden herself, trying to get a good nice after-lunch nap.
Teclis heard the tormented, devoured Aelf souls with the help of his beacons of light (and Tzeentch ….). Teclis, Tyrion and Malerion created a plan to lure Slaanesh out of hiding and into Uhl-Gysh. They recruited Morathi to have a balance of light and shadow for their upcoming mission!
Morathi told the aelfen gods how she had forced Slaanesh to vomit her back into reality.
Together, they harnessed the energies of Hysh and Ulgu like never before. Using themselves as bait, they succeeded in entrapping Slaanesh - and they also started to extract the aelven souls! She is now quite a hellish mass, with lots of souls coming out of her - outch!
Spells made sure that Slaanesh would be trapped between Hysh and Ulgu. Morathi cheated and added a spell that would give her more souls than originally planned, which weakened the magical bindings.
- Slaanesh is now more near Ulgu, no longer perfectly trapped between the realms. More and more questing parties are trying to find and rescue their god - The War of Shadows has started!Aelven Souls, Empires and Dead Gods
To each of the gods, as well as Morathi was given a portion of the Aelfen souls.
They reshaped the souls and forged new creatures into being!
In Hysh, Tyrion and Teclis created luminous beings and angelic aelfs. Teclis’ first enclave were called the Idoneth - although they disappeared, and future projects proved better.
Malerion reshaped his souls into something dark, terrible and majestic …
Morathi stored her souls in the Máthcoir - a giant iron cauldron, and started to create the Melusai and Khinerai after her own image. “Normal” Witch Aelves are from Azyrheim it seems.
She claimed that Khaine still spoke to her, and named herself High Oracle.
Morathi sent her khainite rivals on shard-quests to recover pieces of Khaine.
Consumed by the demise of The World That Was, all of the aelven gods were destroyed. Still, it was possible that they could one day reform! (I wonder if we even might get Ynnead in AoS? I guess not, but still ….)
The Chaos Gods, Nagash and Malerion sought what little power of them was left.
Many sought the broken shards of Khaine (should have tried a craftworld, eh?^^), and most were claimed by Khorne!
The blood god used these essences to forge weapons for his mightiest Bloodthirsters - outch!!
Khorne couldn’t reforge the Iron Heart of Khaine, and threw it away over into the Mortal Realms.
It landed in the cave of Kharybdar - the Father of Kharybdisses.
Morathi felt the heart, and seduced the Godbeast (yep, you heard right). Sadly, she kind of angered him and was forced to battle. Morathi won direly wounded, and took the heart with her to Hagg Nar. No one knows what happened with poor Kharybdar ...
Morathi cursed the male aelven souls she got - they are weak slaves (basically, similiar to House Escher). A few of them are still born quite ok, and these become the Doomfire Warlocks. Morathi binds them with runes of control - although she tells them they are there to protect their souls from Slaanesh.
The walking Khaine statues are golems, not really full-scale avatars like in 40k. Still, funny to have a plastic Avatar in AoS, but none in 40k^^The Deepkin and Malign Portents!
Bands of Idoneth Deepkin …. what they are? Well, you will see for yourself in the future
Scathborn
Slaanesh’s forces besiege Ulgu in order to free their poor god.
Really some exciting stuff, including the sighting of the Idoneth Deepkin!Regards,
Lady Atia and BobDaughters of Khaine - The Rules & Warscrolls !
After the fluff come the numbers
Allegiance Ability
As you maybe know, the allegiance abilities for the DOK are :This one is cumulative each round !
ps : There is at least 2 ways to gain 1 round (that stack) so you could start on turn 3 with the right selection of battalion/trait. So if you slow play the first turn (if possible) you start the fight on turn 4 blood rite !
Warscrolls :
A few warscrolls that look cool !
MorathiHer wounds carry over and are doubled and you can't heal her...hmm
Her command in human form is crazy good !Avatar of Khaine
So cool to have an Avatar of Khaine in Aos too ^^, so you need to animate him but once animated he is a Beast !
Plus even in stone form he add 1 to Bravery to friendly DOK (i will explain later why it's super important !)
Blood Sister
Only serpent form models that count as battle line. you can easily get reroll or +1 to hit dealing a large number of mortal each turn.
Can be made super tanky with +1 sv aura, +1 arcane shield, +1 to fanatical faith(fnp), reroll save of 1, reroll fanatical faith.
You can get them sv3+ rr 1 with a 5+ FNP against mortal/normal with rr. Imagine a pack of 20 !
Blood StalkerInteresting unit because the statline is not incredible for the price but there is a few combo that i discussed with a friend earlier that are nasty.
A prayer make them HIT TWICE on a 6 (not a 6+) , Morathi in human form make them shoot twice (2 units) , with stormcast ally and a battalion included in the book you could make them shoot one more time. So 40 of them (2 units of 20 for around 1k points^^) could make 100 shots per turn with 2 mortal wound on 6 (32 mortal). haha sound funKhinerai HeartRenders
For 80pt per 5 they are not cheap and die like fly, i guess they make good assassination or tanker clearer on a deep strike with 3+ 3+ rend -3 dmg 1. THey could be handy to clear an objective of an brick unit (the one that save at 1+) .
I am sure there are way to use them ;D (big wink a combo shall be revealed later^^)Khinerai Lifetakers
Same price, 2 attacks, that deal 2 damage on charge. It's good already to clear Wound Wagon but here come the MEGA COMBO :
The Lore of Shadow have a spell named Mindrazor that grant a DOK unit -1 rend and increase weapon dmg by 1 if you have higher bravery (Avatar grant +1 to friendly remember) and another spell super easy to cast (4+) with a range of 18" reduce bravery by 1 or 1d3 if you rolled 8+.
Combining all this you get a cheap unit that charge super far, that fly, where each girl make 2 attack doing 3 dmg with -1 rend. And if you have a priest aviable, you can use the prayer Catechism of murder (on a 6 you get 2 hits). HAHAHA
Ok that's it for the new warscrolls !There are 4 temple included in the book each one have specials bonus and one battalion modification.
The 4 are :Hagg nar
Most favoured one ! with +1 to fnp and reroll hit on turn 3+Draichi Ganeth
+1 to hit on charge and a new relic.Khailebron
After each pile in roll a dice on a 6 you pile in againThe Kraith
-1 to hit at ranged, new command trait : start hero phase, remove one unit from the battlefield and set it up it anywhere more than 9" and cannot move .
Combo : you just got -2 rend with the Heartrenders, Now select Morathi and choose this unit for her Command ability, they get a free shoot in the hero phase and again during the shooting phase. The only limit is that the teleport is start of the Hero phase so you have to be in 14" of morathi (one model is enough). ho ho ho FaQ/Nerf incoming
-3 list of relics, One for everyone (this image), One for wizards and one for the priests.
-1 Lore of shadow (Super strong)
ex : Mind razor -1 rend and +1 damage(If Bravery >) on weapons on 1 unit
-1 prayer table (super strong)
Double hit on 6, reroll failed FNP.
-1 Command trait table.
There are nice options but 2 feel super good :
-Zealous Orator : DOK unit in 14" use General Bravery (Combo with mind razor of course ^^).
-Count the turn +1 for Blood rite ! (so turn 1 is 2..)
Misc
3 type of heroes : Slaugther Queen Or Hag Queen both are priest have grant very good stuff ! (extra pile in, or reroll dmg )
The hag queen power is not even a command ability (LOL)
Bloodwrack is the last one, wizard, with a nice debuff spell (-1 to wound range 18) and a ranged attack that is awesome in the meta.
Range 10 roll a D6 for each models, on a 5+ deal 1 mortal woundI'll finish with these 2 images.
/cheers.

Ein paar Gerüchte zu den kommenden "Sea Elves" = "Idoneth Deepkin" von Faeit 212:
Breaking........ Idoneth Deepkin "Raiders from the Deep"
Thats right...... Sea Elves are coming and we have some pics sent in from a reader here on Faeit 212 that originated on Facebook.
Better yet..... we have some other inside information that can now also be shared from anonymous source here on Faeit 212. Apparently they are coming in April! Add these two things together... and April should have some new models for us.

April will be another month of elves, I was told to be sea elves!??! with some giant turtle as the monster unit....Pics via a reader on Faeit 212
Additional Intel
via Ky0t0L1ght5 on Reddit but originally from 4chan
"Is a complete new line like kharadrons Underwater aesthetic mix greek atlanteans and eldar corsair. They have been hiding in underwater cities and have control over some sea fauna, water and mist. I cannot be more specific but the apparently reason for being hiding is that they hides something in secret. Beautiful models, same size that blood bowl elven union and some models have great potential for conversions into custom exodites""The new aelf range are Mathlann followers"
"Atlantean aesthetic, some are very similar to Kairic Acolytes with Spite-Revenants face, anothers looks a lot more eldar - Mistweaver Saih are part of the range."
About the glub glub video "This is an actual piece of scenery GW is going to sell, and that will have its own rules like the Sylvaneth Wyldwood. It's part of the entire Sea Aelves new range, which are absolutely stunning visually, will have tons of sea creatures to ride, one of which is MASSIVE, and unique high cost heroes with crazy design. Also forget about the Cthullu look, their design is closer to Atlantean Spartans."

PS.

Also mit Vorsicht genießen.

GW bestätigt, dass nächste Woche die Melusai und die Ruinen zur Vorbestellung kommen (aber noch nicht die Khinerai!).
Coming Next Week: Shadow and Ruin(s)
Next week, the Daughters of Khaine receive some elite reinforcement – while turning your tabletop into a battlefield just got even easier…
Blood Sisters and Blood Stalkers are the elite of the Khainite cults, crafted from the souls of the aelves devoured by Slaanesh using blood-rites and shadowy magic. Bearing strange mutations, these creatures use their magical powers to great effect on the battlefield, turning their foes into solid crystal or striking their hearts with unerring accuracy.[IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Preview-Feb25-MelusaiSisters2e.jpg][IMG: https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Preview-Feb25-MelusaiStalkers1r.jpg]Blood Sisters and Blood Stalkers are a valuable addition to any Daughters of Khaine army, whether you’re taking a Bloodwrack Medusa to field them as Battleline or you’re supporting a larger force with their impressive output of mortal wounds. You can find out all about them in our preview.
Regardless of what army you play, building your battlefield in the Mortal Realms is about to get a lot easier with Blasted Hallowheart – a boxed set that lets you create a great battlefield in minutes. Inside the set, you’ll find a set of double-sided card tiles, letting you choose between the overgrown ruins on the outskirts of Hallowheart or a volcanic landscape from the Realm for Fire, as well as 9 push fit ruins that allow you to create cover and line of sight blockers with ease. There’s even a set of treasure chests that make for ideal objective markers, and everything inside is cast in coloured plastic, so even if you don’t get round to painting it straight away, it’ll look great right out of the box.
If you’ve already got a Realm of Battle board set up (well done) you’ll still want to pick up the Azyrite Ruins, a new set containing the ruins from the Blasted Hallowheart box – perfect for adding thematic and tactically useful terrain to your board.
These kits are very versatile and are ideal for representing anything from ancient ruins to the start of your own free city – our very own Peachy combined several kits to create this impressive edifice:
