ZitatAlles anzeigenHere is some math for it:
Lions:
-For lions its mathematically better to get an extra rank than to re roll if you hit on 3s (average 1.2 more hits with extra rank for a 5 wide unit).
-For Lions it is mathematically a wash (identical) to have an extra rank vs re rolls to hit for hitting on 4s
-For Lions it is Slightly better to have re rolls than to have an extra rank of attacks (0.5 more hits with re rolls for a 5 wide unit)
Swordmasters:
-For swordmasters, it is essentially identical re rolls vs extra rank for hitting on 3s
-For swordmasters, it is considerably better to get re rolls than it is to have an extra rank for hitting on 4s or 5s (extra 1.2 and an extra 1.6 hits for re rolls for a five-wide unit, respectively)
(Note, Swordmasters have WS 6 so are hitting on 3s far more often. There are to my knowledge only 2 units out there with WS 6 as a base WS if we exclude tomb kings leading units (chosen and wardancers, am I missing any?). The rest of the things with such a high WS are characters. Lore of light will hurt the efficacy of swordmasters, though).
Also realize that both elite units always get the extra rank of attacks, whereas they may not get re rolls (lions vs witch elves, for example), however they also now no longer swing first against such units, so effectively it is a wash again.
The main difference between the two is the VARIANCE--the probability bell curve is narrower for re rolls.
Take from that what you will

Ein entscheidender Unterschied ist natürlich dass uns mit den Zusatzangriffen die Angriffe schneller weg sterben als zuvor...
